A Web 2.0 Tool for Every Mood You're In

  1. I really enjoyed being introduced to this Personal Learning Environment (PLE) site. Before our current class, I had no idea what a PLE even was, much less how it could be used for my students, or personally for me. Now I understand the benefits a PLE and how it can improve internet naviagation. I would love for the site SymbalooEDU to be added to all of the computers at our school, with useful web 2.0 tools added for students and teachers. This would allow students to navigate quickly to sites we currently use without having to deal with search engines, and allow teachers access to great web 2.0 sites for students which they might otherwise be unaware. Often times, by the time students get their laptops to their desks and get logged in to their accounts, valuable work time has expired, and students need help with navigating to the correct URL. With SymbalooEDU, students could see all of the sites on the PLE in neat boxes and all that is required is a click. Free user accounts are available for individuals and paid accounts are available for groups. One interesting feature I found as I investigated the site was a free webinar available on ways to use symbalooEDU and a free user guide, as well. I have been investigating Google docs for my practical experience, but plan to use some of my practical experience time to set up an account with symbalooEDU and create my own PLE for all of the amazing web2.0 sites we are learning about in this course. Thanks for introducing me to this helpful tool!

  2. Anne, oops you've done it again girl! Another great PLE to get everyone pumped and excited about teaching, learning, sharing, and collaboration! I was wondering how do you organize all of those wonderful tools that you have and the current ones that we're currently learning? Great Job!

  3. Wow, symbaloo seems like a really cool way to keep track of things you want to do, places you want to go, or things you want to see. It’s an amazing organization tool. I think I’m going to have to check it out.

    Great job.
